USE OF CENTRIFUGAL PUMP IMPELLER Part 2

2 MIXED FLOW IMPELLER

Type impleller can be said to be equal to the radial impeller differ only in the direction of flow only. The impeller is usually used for pumping liquids with a large capacity with a total head which is relatively low compared with the radial impeller but higher than the axial impeller. Impeller can be in the form of open and closed.

3 AXIAL FLOW IMPELLER / PROPELLER

Axial flow impeller which is also called the propeller can be installed permanently or can be changed when the pump is opened or changed by the time the pump is operated. With impeller pump is used for pumping liquids with a large capacity but the total head is achieved relatively low. Examples of the use of axial impeller pump is to pump flood control, irrigation pumps, cooling water pumps power plants and others.

4. SPECIAL IMPELLER

In addition to the impeller-impeller has been mentioned above there is also a type of impeller-type specific premises.

4.a Non-clogging impeller with free floe / vortex

4.b star impeller (impeller pump pulse)

4.c Peripheral impeller (turbine impeller)

Figure 3 Usage: For a truly liquid cleaner and a liquid containing gas. Used for small capacity but have a total head high.
