CENTRIFUGAL PUMP IMPELLER

In a simple centrifugal pump consists of two parts:

Part 1 rotating (rotating parts) usually consists of: impeller, shaft and others.
Part 2 is fixed (stationary parts) usually consists of: pump house, packing and others.
Impeller in the pump is a part that converts mechanical energy (energy in the blades of the impeller) and forwarded to the pump power due to efficiency (fluid friction loss) due to change in the direction of flow on the blades of the impeller.

Seen from the direction of the flow in the impeller, the impeller shape broadly divided into:
1 Radial impeller
2 Mixed flow imepllers
3 Axial imepllers
4 Special impellers

The first question will arise when deciding on the type of impeller will we use after that will we be able to determine the capacity, total head and the type of liquid to be pumped us. Decisions should we ambilpada impeller type is limited to the fact of the pump rotational speed and the size of the diameter / midline pump impeller to achieve the highest efficiency.
